Graduate Diana Squires produced and starred in a production of The Laundromat, by Marsha Norman. Staged in an actual vintage laundromat, this inaugural show of her independent theatre company, Scarlet Satin Productions sent audiences spinning back to 1979 with a heartwarming story of two women sharing their lives and laundry soap in a late-night chance encounter. Diana was recently also seen in two Vancouver shows: Under the Hawthorn Tree, a new musical by Mary Clark & Mary Murphy Demers, and Burn This, by Lanford Wilson, which played April 8-11 at the Beaumont Stage.
Trinity Western audiences may remember Diana's memorable performance as Joy inShadowlands, or her student-directed project Steel Magnolias. In addition to her work in Godspell,recent acting credits in Vancouver include The Museum Project (Dive In! Productions), Tom Dudkowski (Upintheair / Walking Fish), and Slaughterhouse (Brave New Play Rites). Her camera credits include feature films Josie & the Pussycats and Life Size, as well as a smattering of documentary and independent shorts.
