Lois Dawson, Stage Manager Extraordinaire

Lois Dawson is a busy stage manager on the Vancouver theatre scene. After working on Pacific Theatre's Refuge of Lies, she headed to sunny Chemainus on Vancouver Island where she will spend the summer as Assistant Stage Manager of Guys and Dolls. This fall, Lois will be stage managing Carousel Theatre's produciton of Seussical, the Musical, starring Kaylee Harwood. She will also stage manage the production of Stephen Adly Giurgis' Jesus Hopped the 'A' Trainwith Glass City Theatre, a new company she founded along with TWU grads Rob Olguin andMike Wipf.

In the past few months, Lois worked with the Vancouver Olympics, Hive 3, and the critically acclaimed Frozen, with Shameless Hussy Productions. Lois spent the 2008/09 Season as resident stage manager for Pacific Theatre, as well as stage managing Stop Kiss at the Havana Theatre, Project X Productions of Hamlet and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead in Kamloops. She was also instrumental in planning for World Theatre Day, an activity that connected her to theatre artists around the globe.
