Tony Stopperan hops from FSU to New York

After graduating from TWU, SAMC Theatre's Tony Stopperan was accepted into the MFA program at Florida State University's Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training.  TWU audiences may remember Tony from lead roles in Two Rooms and The Ristretto Proposal.

Tony earned rave reviews performing in Neil LaBute's Reasons to be Pretty at FSU earlier this year.  The Herald Tribune said, "Tony Stopperan wonderfully plays Greg as an average working lug who foregoes his dreams while working third shift in a factory. He is well-read, but can’t find the right words to express himself. He makes you feel for him. This is one exciting and involving production." And from the Pelican Press: "Stopperan is compelling and attractive in the lead role - an unpretentious, witty, young man who's experiencing a belated 'coming of age' period of realization as to his place in life."

Now, Tony's class is preparing to take their showcase to New York and produce it professionally before an audience of casting directors, agents, and prominent artists.  Check out the video about their exciting project and how you can support Tony as he "kickstarts" his showbiz career.
