"At TWU, students experience a close-knit community where every student matters. Because of this, we offer a high-quality Christian education with the flexibility that students need. Accordingly, if a student is unable to begin classes face-to-face this Fall, we remain committed to providing them with access to TWU’s high-quality education."

Trinity Western University welcomes students, faculty and staff to anticipate a safe return to face-to-face learning and an engaging student life experience, with the added flexibility of online and remote options, as best fits each student’s needs.
"With the B.C. government’s recently announced accelerated timeline for the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines and the Canadian approval of Johnson & Johnson’s single-dose—in addition to AstraZeneca, Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna—we are fully engaged in planning for a return to face-to-face instruction and activities this Fall," said President Mark Husbands.
"At TWU, students experience a close-knit community where every student matters. Because of this, we offer a high-quality Christian education with the flexibility that students need. Accordingly, if a student is unable to begin classes face-to-face this Fall, we remain committed to providing them with access to TWU’s high-quality education," continued President Husbands.
Many students who choose TWU for the unparalleled student community experience can now also enjoy the added benefit of a more flexible delivery model. TWU Access—an embodiment of TWU’s unique student-focused approach—has been received well. While this model does not work for all students, it has been a valuable means by which students have continued their education over the past year as we adapted to the challenges of COVID-19.
“As the University continues to enhance and build upon the established infrastructure and technology, we are seeking to give students a greater degree of flexibility in pursuing their education, regardless of time zone or location,” added Dr. Phil Laird, VP of Innovation, Global and Academic Partnerships.
Throughout the global pandemic, TWU has remained committed to the individual needs and the health and well-being of our students. As Trinity Western plans for a safe return to face-to-face instruction in Fall 2021, the University will continue to follow regulations and parameters set by the B.C. Provincial Health Office and local health authorities, following the specific guidance for B.C. post-secondary institutions, to determine appropriate in-person approaches and capacity. Further information regarding Canadian border access, on-campus housing capacity and federal travel quarantine requirements will be announced as soon as we receive more details.
We acknowledge the challenges of this season and celebrate the perseverance and resilience of our students, faculty, staff and supporters.
