Today, TWU President Bob Kuhn joined Archbishop J. Michael Miller and Redeemer Pacific College (RPC) President Christine Jones, Ph.D., to celebrate the launch of RPC’s rebrand, which includes a new strategic vision and a name change to Catholic Pacific College.
“We are supportive of Catholic Pacific College’s strategic vision,” said President Kuhn. “The mutually beneficial relationship that we’ve had over a long period of time contributes to our diverse educational environment. Their growth as an independent institution will add to the overall strength and vitality of Trinity Western University.”
Founded in 1999 and located off Glover Road, the Catholic college is a valued partner and close neighbour to TWU. It offers sections of TWU courses on Catholic studies.
Philip Hannis, CPC Vice President of Marketing, said there were several reasons for the rebrand: “There has been a longstanding confusion with Redeemer University in Ontario, as well as a desire to more publicly promote the school’s religious identity to its principal target audience, the Catholic community.”
