TWU Honours Those Lost to COVID-19 on Canada's National Day of Observance

"As a global Christian University we pause, on the National Day of Observance, to honour those lost to COVID-19. We grieve the deaths of more than 2.5 million people globally. We remember the unspoken suffering of many, and express our profound gratitude to all who work to advance the health, protection, and recovery of everyone during this pandemic."
— President Mark Husbands

On the one year anniversary of the WHO's declaration of a global pandemic, the Government of Canada has designated March 11 as a National Day of Observance to remember the people who lost their lives, and the many more who suffered, due to COVID-19 and its related impacts.

"As a global Christian University we pause, on the National Day of Observance, to honour those lost to COVID-19. We grieve the deaths of more than 2.5 million people globally. We remember the unspoken suffering of many, and express our profound gratitude to all who work to advance the health, protection, and recovery of everyone during this pandemic," said President Mark Husbands.

At Trinity Western University, we are grateful for the tremendous efforts of students, faculty and staff, who together, have continued to learn, serve and support one another throughout this challenging year.
