Canadians have now been living in the midst of the pandemic's effects for close to a year. What is the pandemic's impact on the local healthcare, economy and society in B.C.? The BC Centre for Disease Control, together with the BCCDC Foundation for Public Health, have recently released data from their B.C. COVID-19 SPEAK Survey.
Professor Andrea Soberg from TWU's School of Business was recently interviewed by the Langley Advance Times regarding the results of this survey, which captured the pandemic experiences of almost 400,000 British Columbians during May 12 to May 31, 2020.
Professor Soberg leads the HR Management specialization in the BBA program, and teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate business programs. She is also the Director of the Centre for Global Entrepreneurship, where she contributes to the research on HRM in indigenous Chinese firms.
In addition to her work at TWU, she continues to run People First Consulting where she works with organizations, in both the private and public sector, assisting them in becoming more productive and profitable through effective planning and use of their people. She has published many articles on different aspects of human resource management, been a presenter at national conferences, and has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at the business schools at the University of Victoria and Camosun College, Victoria.
