After the overwhelming success of her company’s inaugural production, The Laundromat, alum Diana Squires (Shadowlands, The Heiress, Two Rooms) follows up with another site-specific show in Vancouver.
Party This Weekend is an original production penned by Squires herself and three other local playwrights. She hatched the concept last summer with Laura McLean, whom she met working onGodspell at Pacific Theatre.
Set in a house in East Vancouver, the show consists of four storylines weaving through multiple rooms, the yard, and the street outside. Each audience member arrives at what feels like a house party and, as a guest, follows 1 of 4 pivotal characters through various rooms of the house to experience an unforgettable evening through their eyes.
The media’s already abuzz with sneak peeks and rave reviews…

“A raucous bash…Party This Weekend doesn't just break the fourth wall, it kicks it over and takes the audience conga dancing into the next room.” –Vancouver Courier
