Global Outreach
Short-Term Service-Learning for Long-Term Mutual Transformation
In Global Outreach, our prayer is for God to transform each of us to live missionally, both locally and globally, for the long term. We facilitate this by providing month-long opportunities to live, serve, and learn in a cross-cultural environment, partnering with others as equals in the Global Church.
As we go, our mission is to grow into holistic disciple-making leaders who do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God and to foster mutual, long-term transformation in participants and communities around the world.

Global Outreach, May – June Trips
Every May, Global Outreach sends teams of students to participate in cross-cultural community development and missional service-learning projects. While the actual trips span 2-4 weeks each summer, Global Outreach embraces a Before-During-After philosophy. This means that the entire program runs from January to October with teams meeting, training, and preparing before departure, and processing and reflecting after they return. This is not a summer travel opportunity; it’s a discipleship journey. This journey engages with tough questions of who we are becoming, who we are called to love, how can we help without hurting, and how do we follow and obey God?
Participating with the Global Outreach will stretch and challenge you: you will be given the opportunity to never be the same again!
Global Outreach Locations
Indigenous Service-Learning: Fort Babine (Northern B.C.)
Live, serve, and learn for a month in the Indigenous community of Fort Babine in Northern BC with the Streetcorners Ministries. Create and sustain relationships with the community and elders who will love you like family and who desire to share their beautiful culture with you. The people of Fort Babine are part of the Wit'at Nation and have had close relationships with TWU students for over 30 years.
“It was an absolute honor to be invited to live and serve in this incredible community with this team. This place and these people will always hold a very special place in my heart.”- Sarah Grace, Fort Babine Team Member
Anti-Trafficking: Ghana
Partner with Operation Mobilization (OM) to learn and serve alongside them in Ghana, West Africa.
Their vision is to see vibrant communities of Jesus followers among the least reached, particularly in the Sahel region. They serve the community through child trafficking prevention, community engagement, educational aid, skills training, missions discipleship training and through partnerships with church planting in the north of Ghana.
Come experience this vibrant culture, grow a heart for cross-cultural missions, and help grow a bridge in the global church learning from what God is doing in Ghana and bringing encouragement and prayer.
