Canadians recognize Remembrance Day every year on November 11. Originally called Armistice Day, the day marks the end of hostilities during the First World War and commemorates all those who have served in the nation’s defence. Canadians honour Indigenous Veterans Day on November 8, to remember First Nation, Metis and Inuit soldiers and veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces.
Trinity Western University's chamber choir contributed a recorded performance of O Canada for a special Remembrance Day ceremony, hosted by the City of Langley in 2020. The performance was directed by Cathrie Yuen, TWU Associate Conductor.
This recording was played during TWU's Fall Commencement Ceremony on November 6, 2021.
