Letter from TWU's President on Thanksgiving

As a global Christian university, Trinity Western follows in the footsteps of faithful believers who came before us from around the world.

Dear TWU Community,

The goodness of God is our beginning, both as creaturely beings and as a community of Christian believers. Reflecting upon the mercies and grace of God led Paul to give thanks that in Christ, individuals from different ethnicities and backgrounds became a family. In contrast to surrounding cultures, Christians experienced reconciliation and unity in Christ.

As a global Christian university, Trinity Western follows in the footsteps of faithful believers who came before us from around the world; their example prompts us also to live faithfully, seeking God’s glory and the good of the city into which God has placed each of us.

TWU

In every season, God accompanies his people on the journey of faith. Our gracious, loving, and caring Lord calls all people to follow Christ, inviting them into new life and community. Together, we can experience the joy of participating in God’s work of renewal. Our diverse student body is reflective of the world around us. As the God of the gospel meets people of every nation, tribe, people, and language, we rejoice in thanksgiving: no one is excluded from the reach of the gospel, and all are called to life, forgiveness, and renewal in Christ.

We continue to give thanks for every chapter of the University’s history, from its founding until today, as our campuses and programs now annually serve 6,000 students who come from over 80 nations.

With gratitude, I think of God’s faithfulness to Trinity Western throughout its years, and I am grateful that you and I continue along this journey together.

My wife Becky and I wish you and your families every blessing and comfort during this Thanksgiving season. May you and your loved ones find a thousand reasons to give thanks.

Grace and peace,

Mark Husbands, Ph.D.

President
