Dr. Richard Sawatzky received the 2016 “Excellence in Advancing Nursing Knowledge and Research” on November 17, 2016. Dr. Sawatzky is a Canada Research Chair in Patient-Reported Outcomes and holds positions as Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at Trinity Western University and as research scientist with the Centre for Health Evaluation and Outcomes Services (CHEOS) at Providence. He was honoured as one of 17 "exceptional individuals" who have demonstrated excellence in nursing practice, research and leadership at the 2016 Nursing Awards of Excellence gala event, sponsored by the BC Coalition of Nurses Associations.
