Sharing thankful praise: TWU's SAMC Music presents Hanson’s “Chorale and Alleluia” and Reed’s “Russian Christmas Music”

Trinity Western’s Concert Band and Orchestra celebrate a return to live music-making after 24 months away from the concert stage.

Dr. Allan Thorpe, Director of Instrumental Activities at TWU's School of the Arts, Media + Culture (SAMC), enthuses that “Being able to return to offering performances to live audiences is something our ensembles greatly appreciate in these times." 

"The compositions that the Concert Band are bringing to this Fall’s concert share aspects of thankful praise and celebration,” he said.

Featured music will include Beethoven’s youthful and energetic First Symphony, as well as Hanson’s “Chorale and Alleluia,” and Reed’s “Russian Christmas Music.”

Admission:      By donation $10 suggested (cash at the door)
 
Proof of full vaccination, along with government-issued ID, is required for admittance to the event. All patrons must wear face coverings.
