Among the many dedicated people who help Trinity Western University operate safely and smoothly day in and day out are members of our Campus Services teams. They include our many excellent colleagues who serve in Parking & Community Safety Services, Capital Projects, and Facilities Services – Grounds Services, Building Services and Maintenance Services.
Thank you, TWU Campus Services teams!
On Wednesday November 24, the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences (FNAS) organized an appreciation for Parking & Community Safety Services, Capital Projects and Facilities Services staff at TWU Langley.
The Campus Services teams were invited to the Neufeld Science Centre to attend an event especially in their honour. Liz Robertson, Office and Project Manager for FNAS, and Dr. Glen Van Brummelen, Dean of FNAS, made special remarks thanking those who served our campus faithfully over the past many months and continue to do so daily. Touching stories were shared about memories of facilities adventures.
Tulips outside Neufeld Science Centre as a sign of gratitude
Faculty members mingled with Campus Services team members over games and activities. Together they planted tulip bulbs outside of the Neufeld Science Centre.
At the end of the event, Campus Services team members each received their choice of hot beverage and a gift bag to take home.
Next Spring, when the newly planted tulips outside of the Neufeld Science Centre are in bloom, they will serve as a sign of gratitude for Campus Services team members and be an encouragement for the campus community.
"Over my 20 years at TWU I have witnessed the maintenance, custodial, security, parking, grounds, shipping/receiving staff go far and above to serve us. I have seen a humbleness and servant attitude that is exemplarary," said Liz Robertson.
"We are grateful for their hard work, service and commitment. This work is so necessary and we are so grateful for them all."
