“We want to ensure that we are attuned to the needs and opportunities that lie in the heart of the alumni community. Personal and professional development doesn’t stop on graduation day.”
— Brian Kerr, Senior Vice President of Enrolment, Personal and Professional Development
As a global Christian university that fosters lifelong learning and community connections, alumni relations are a key priority for TWU. This is why Trinity Western has launched a new TWU Alumni office.
“Our alumni play a critical role in stewarding the success and reputation of the institution that has played such a transformational role in their lives,” stated President Mark Husbands. “We are committed to ensuring that TWU continues to serve our alumni well as they advance to greater stages of their lives.”
TWU alumnus Brian Kerr ('00, '10), who is Senior Vice President of Enrolment, Personal and Professional Development, oversees TWU alumni relations. Jonathan Fehr (’09), has taken up leadership as Director of Digital Communications and Alumni Engagement. Additionally, the University is actively seeking a Vice President of TWU Alumni.
“We want to ensure that we are attuned to the needs and opportunities that lie in the heart of the alumni community,” said Kerr. “Personal and professional development doesn’t stop on graduation day. The very promise we make to students when they begin their journey at TWU, is the promise we deliver while they are students, and that we continue to deliver when students graduate and become a part of the TWU Alumni community."
Trinity Western is committed to providing a continuity of transformative experiences as a person journeys from being a student and into their professional life, through offering rich social communities and supportive spiritual and career development.
One example of this support is the ongoing Alumni Regional Chapters program that fosters local alumni communities around the world. Other key initiatives include the TWU alumni podcast, a student/alumni professional mentoring program offered through Ten Thousand Coffees, and the development of a new webpage: www.twu.ca/alumni.
Trinity Western University looks forward to engaging with and enriching the lives of our alumni community, which exceeds 24,000 members, who are living in and serving throughout the world.
