Trinity Western University announces new senior vice president of advancement

Building bridges to success: advancing education, advancing lives

Trinity Western University proudly welcomes Ann Barnard Ball as the new senior vice president of advancement.

Bringing a wealth of experience as an executive leader, Ann is uniquely gifted in drawing together alumni, friends of the University, donors, and foundations in support of TWU's transformative mission and vision. In her new role, Ann will craft and execute an advancement strategy that focuses on finding new and exciting ways for individuals to partner with TWU as we empower, educate, and equip students for lives of purpose, witness, and leadership. She commences her role on February 12.

President Mark Husbands remarks:

“Ann’s passion for the global impact of Christian higher education is compelling. I am thrilled that an international search by CarterBaldwin resulted in Ann’s commitment to serve Christ here at Trinity Western. Her leadership acumen, warm and gracious personality, intelligence, and proven ability to build and nurture effective teams will be tremendous assets to both Trinity Western University and our Executive Leadership Team. Her involvement comes at a pivotal moment as we begin to implement our new Strategic Plan: “TWU 2030: Every Graduate Equipped.”

The greater part of Ann’s 20-plus years in the realm of charitable giving and philanthropy has been in service to faith-based Christian organizations. Bringing strengths in fundraising, team management, and strategic leadership, she joins TWU from New Hope Community Services, where she has served as executive director since 2019. During her tenure at New Hope, Ann launched a $4-million campaign and more than doubled the number of investors for the organization’s work. Prior to New Hope, Ann was the chief development officer for Blue Sea Foundation, where she initiated a national mentorship program for charities to train leaders across Canada on financial and strategic management of their organizations. During this period, she successfully led three national events each year, raising over $10 million for Canadian charities.
