Trinity Western University is preparing for a safe return to face-to-face learning this fall

In anticipation of the Fall 2021 academic year, TWU President Mark Husbands is pleased to provide the following update to the TWU community.

Dear Students, Families and the entire TWU Community:

I am thrilled that we will be safely welcoming students back to our campuses this fall. It will be a joy to gather together and experience, once again, a meaningful, personal, and face-to-face learning experience.

With conditions continuing to improve in British Columbia surrounding COVID-19, every indication is pointing towards a September that looks very much like the Septembers we “once knew”. I continue to hear the question: “what will Trinity look like this fall?” and there are a number of things that can be said with confidence.

Perhaps the most encouraging news is our full return to in-person, face-to-face learning. By this fall, Provincial public health will no longer require physical distancing in controlled settings (i.e., classrooms). Campus housing will be at near full capacity. The increase in vaccination rates within our population will provide a level of protection that will allow us to experience a post-pandemic “normal”.

We have created a Return to Fall resource page to guide you through this season. This page offers you detailed information on what to expect this fall—including additional information on courses, housing, vaccinations, travel, and health and safety. I invite you to visit www.twu.ca/return-to-fall to take full advantage of this resource and to stay up to date as we add additional information over the coming weeks.

As we prepare to emerge stronger out of this season of living within a global pandemic, you continue to be in our prayers, and the health, safety, and wellbeing of our community continues to be a top priority. We are committed to walking with you through this season and are here to support you as we set out together on a safe return to fall.

Grace and peace,

Mark Husbands, PhD

President
