Trinity Western University is pleased to announce the appointment of Philip A. Reilly as the new Vice President of Development, effective February 1, 2021.
TWU President Dr. Mark Husbands remarked, "Mr. Reilly is a talented, personable, and gifted professional with tremendous experience. Mr. Reilly brings to this position a strong background in Christian higher education, which will be of great value to the University. "
Mr. Reilly graduated from Regent College and has also served in their Development department, engaging students and alumni and stewarding major gifts from private individuals, churches and foundations. He went on to lead significant fundraising efforts in a number of NGO’s and eventually became the National Director of Development for International Justice Mission.
Born into a mixed-race family with Indian and Scottish heritage, Mr. Reilly is well-suited to lead the fundraising efforts of a global Christian University. Additionally, he has international experience serving poor and marginalized children in Kolkata, India, and ministering to ethnically diverse and multicultural communities in Amiens, France. Together with his wife and three children, Mr. Reilly participates in North Langley Community Church in Langley, B.C.
Mr. Reilly looks forward to providing leadership at Trinity Western. He remarked, “Over the years it has been thrilling to watch the strength of Trinity Western’s brand grow into one of the most well-respected University institutions in Canada. I have been thoroughly impressed with the centrality of God’s Kingdom in how TWU chooses to live and act in this world. I am looking forward to serving such a dynamic community and playing my part in helping curate TWU's next chapter.”
As Mr. Reilly now assumes the leadership role of VP of Development, TWU’s Mr. Paul Weme is taking on a new title—VP of Philanthropy— to better reflect his primary focus as our principal gifts officer.
Congratulations to both Mr. Reilly and Mr. Weme for their new roles. We look forward to journeying ahead together with the benefit of their leadership.
