TWU Coach and Athletes Run Virtual Basketball Training Camp for Langley Special Olympics Team

This past Spring semester, TWU assistant basketball coach Grace Guderyan ran a virtual training camp with the Langley Rebels Special Olympics basketball team, helping younger athletes improve their technical ability and providing them the chance to connect socially.


Exerpted from the Langley Advance Times:

Once a week over four months, Coach Guderyan and two other athletes ran a virtual basketball session with eight to 10 Rebels players, an opportunity to focus on skills and allow the players, who have been kept apart by COVID-19 restrictions, a chance to be social.

Coach Guderyan said the virtual program produced some real improvements in playing ability.

“We actually noticed a huge improvement,” Guderyan said.
