TWU Community Day Brings Together Staff and Faculty to Kick Off the New Academic Year

Community Day, an annual TWU event, featured a time of corporate prayer and worship, a state of the University address, and the unveiling of a new TWU brand expression.

Ahead of the upcoming semester, Trinity Western is abuzz with activity and anticipation for the fall. While students are enjoying the last bit of summer, staff and faculty are busy preparing for the year ahead.

On August 22, 2022, TWU hosted Community Day, an annual event at Trinity Western that celebrates the achievements of the recent past and confidently looks forward to the future.

This year’s Community Day featured a time of communal prayer and worship at the Kuhn Centre. Songs of thanksgiving and praise echoed upwards through the four storeys of the building’s interior, as TWU staff and faculty gathered on the ground-level lobby and around the balconies of the upper floors of the Kuhn Centre. A time of community connection with refreshments was hosted at Kuhn Centre's outdoor courtyard. After this, university leaders presented a state of the University address in the David E. Enarson Gymnasium. Following a community lunch, staff and faculty enjoyed an afternoon of team bonding activities.

A special unveiling of the new TWU brand was among the highlights of Community Day. Students, staff, and faculty can look out for signs and displays around the Langley and Richmond campuses that feature TWU’s updated logo.
