Eileen McWilliams, MA
After completing an undergraduate degree in the United States, Eileen left to serve as a volunteer in Hong Kong, serving with addicts, refugees, and others on society’s margins. This initial seven-month opportunity to minister with the poor extended by ten years. Afterwards, Eileen pursued a TESL certificate and then a master’s degree at TWU, where she has since taught courses in linguistics, anthropology and sociolinguistics. She has taught English to new immigrants trying to settle in Canada and to international students studying here. Eileen remains actively involved in international volunteer work as well.
