Geri Pearson, MA
Geri was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland and graduated from University College Dublin as a physiotherapist before immigrating to Canada in the early 80’s. Since then, she has worked as a physiotherapist in a number of clinical settings, including hospitals and private practises, in Eastern and Western Canada and Australia. Latterly, she specialised in Residential Care and care of the frail elderly, as a sole charge physiotherapist within Fraser Health. She has presented and also won a number of awards for her work in creating safe workplaces, primarily for front-line staff. She completed her MA Leadership in 2015 at TWU and has been a Teaching Assistant and a substitute teacher in the BA Leadership program at the Richmond Campus.
In her private life, Geri is an avid cyclist having completed a number of biking fondos with her husband. She also plays field hockey and has a passion for the outdoors, camping in particular. Being the mom of four children and one grandson, including a son who has competed in two Olympic Games and is now training for his third, also keeps her busy. She has also been a leader at her church, leading various ministries such as Safe People, Alpha, Stephen Ministry and Youth. She is passionate about Servant Leadership, leading like Jesus, both inside and outside of the workplace.
