I strongly believe that teaching and learning happens in partnership between the students and the faculty. My teaching methodology encompasses a knowledge transfer that is respectful, competent, ethical, encourages critical thinking, and creativity that enables the students to learn, participate, make informed decisions, and grow responsible in their personal and professional lives.

Maureen Perianayagam, an Alumni of York University of Toronto, Ontario, graduated in 2009 with a BScN. She is a proud Alumni of Trinity Western University where she completed her MScN in 2023. Maureen has fourteen years of clinical experience in acute, and critical care settings. Maureen has over eight years of teaching experience in clinical lab and clinical supervision in British Columbia. She is passionate about teaching and learning, and working in partnership with students to help build their confidence as individuals and in clinical nursing. Maureen focuses her professional development on simulation labs where she brings her bedside nursing experience and applies it to real life lab scenarios. Maureen teaches clinical lab and does clinical supervision for second and fourth year students in the BScN program.
