Rachel M. Froese, MSN

Sessional Instructor of Nursing
Teaching is not just a downloading of facts and practical skills, it involves an investment into each student and a care for them beyond grades.  I feel privileged to walk alongside my students in their journey towards becoming a registered nurse.

Rachel spent her bedside nursing career working on surgical units, the OR and PACU in Canada, Australia and Nigeria. She was involved in education and public health measures in Nigeria and as a community health nurse in Canada. She received her perioperative certification from the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and her advanced critical care specialty certification from BCIT. Rachel has experience teaching in both the classroom and clinical setting for a variety of universities and colleges and has also spent a term as a program coordinator. Rachel started with TWU in 2014 as a clinical supervisor and has accompanied students to their surgical and medical clinical placements. In 2020 she graduated with her Master’s in Nursing from TWU.  Rachel recently expanded her role within TWU to include working with students in the lab setting.
