Graduation Process
Apply to Graduate
Students are required to apply for graduation in advance of their anticipated graduation date in order to confirm the scheduled completion of all program requirements. This application includes a checklist submission for all non-GLOBAL Undergraduate students (Graduate, ACTS, and GLOBAL Degree Completion Students do not need to submit program checklists).
Graduation Audit
After the graduation application is complete, a review of academic records and course registration will take place through the graduation audit process. Graduation audits will assist with determining what degree requirements are outstanding (if any), and will confirm graduation ceremony eligibility for students who are in progress of (or complete) all final degree requirements.
Ceremony Eligibility
Once graduation audits are completed each semester, communication will be sent to students about their eligibility to participate in the graduation ceremony (typically 6 weeks prior to the graduation ceremony date).
Conferral
Degrees are conferred at the end of the fall and spring semesters. Students who complete final courses in the summer will receive a fall semester conferral date.
Diploma
For a paper copy of your diploma, please allow 4-8 weeks after your conferral date for printing and delivery. A digital or electronic diploma (eDegree) will be available to order after your conferral date. Please visit the Records tab on the Student Portal Page to order your free copy, available to access on MyCreds™. Once ordered on the Student Portal Page, you will receive an email notification from MyCreds™ (the notification will be sent to your @mytwu.ca email) with instructions to access your eDegree.
