Prospective students must fill out an Application for the MBSCT program.

The applicant must ensure that all academic transcripts (issued directly by each university, college, or seminary attended), required letters of reference, and the written sample of work have been received by the Graduate Admissions Office - School of Graduate Studies by June 15 for September admission and by November 1 for January admission.

Review of applications by Director of the Admissions Committee and by members of the Graduate Faculty of Biblical Studies is done on a rolling basis throughout the year. Qualified applicants are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Admitted applicants will be notified of their acceptance by Graduate Admissions Office - School of Graduate Studies.

Track Requirements

Thesis Track Major Paper Track Course Work Track
  • B.A. in Biblical and/or Theological Studies from accredited colleges or universities, or deemed equivalent
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA (B), with a 3.3 GPA (B+) in the last two years of the major
  • Completed application
1 year each of Hebrew and Greek (OT & NT) or Greek and Latin (Christian Thought). 1 year of language in area of stream. No languages required, but can be included in the program of study, to a maximum of 12 s.h.

Transfer Students

Transfer credit may be granted to a maximum of six credit hours, which must be from an accredited institution, equivalent to MABSCT course work, and a B grade or better. For further information please consult Dr. Thomas Hatina, MBSCT Program Director.

Requirements for International Students

International students are admitted to the University on the same basis as other students; however, please note some special circumstances for International Applicants.
