Areas You Can Support
There are a number of areas you can give to within the life of the University. As we move forward in the clarity of our mission and vision, we hope that your heart is moved to support, encourage, and partner with Trinity Western in creating life-changing opportunities for growth, flourishing, and faithfulness in the lives of TWU students.
There are a number of areas you can give to within the life of the University—everything from capital projects to program or student support. You can make a charitable gift now in life to any of the following areas and/or make additional contributions through your estate plans by leaving a bequest to the University. Or, you may simply wish to make an undesignated gift to “Area of Greatest Need” outlining your wishes in your Will.
Please discuss any planned bequests or gifts with TWU before designating them to ensure that they are structured in a way that will be the most beneficial to the TWU community while also addressing the ability to execute your wishes.
Student Impact Fund
The Student Impact Fund could not be more aptly named. Your support touches on every possible way in which TWU can equip students—from the moment they show interest in the University to the moment they cross the stage donned in cap and gown. Gifts to this fund have consistently allowed students to experience the transformational purpose that comes about when they are immersed in education and life at TWU as this fund focuses on supporting student scholarships (President’s, Provost’s, and Dean’s Academic Scholarships), campus enhancements, and Student Life initiatives.
Named Scholarships & Awards
Leave a lasting legacy, honour a loved one as a memorial tribute, promote a specific area of interest, or raise the profile of a corporation or business. You name the award and define the criteria and how it will be funded (after consultation with TWU). A student award is an investment in people, in education, in society—it is an investment with guaranteed returns.
Once a year, you will have the opportunity to meet the award recipient at our annual Legacy Luncheon. You can create a scholarship (which recognizes academic achievement and is usually tied to a high GPA of 3.5+) or an award (which focuses on those in financial need who would not be able to attend TWU without your help). Our office would work with you on the criteria, and once confirmed with Financial Aid, the criteria would be finalized.
Program Support
You can support a faculty, school, department, or program at TWU to ensure its continued growth and expansion well into the future. You can choose to support a specific area you’re passionate about whether it’s the same program you graduated from or an area that has special meaning to you. Whatever area you decide to support, you will be creating a lasting impact in the lives of the students who will directly benefit from your generosity.
Capital Projects
Your support will go toward campus enhancement and maintenance projects, including new or future infrastructure projects.
