As a reflection of TWU's distinction as a global Christian liberal arts university, Trinity Western student and faculty research spans a vast range of academic fields. Though there is a diversity in research areas, they share the common thread of being in service to the world's current and emerging needs.
Professorships
A professorships is special funding given to a select faculty member for a specific research theme. Professorships fund academic scholars whose expertise is recognized by their peers in their field of research. Professorships generate original research leading to new and applied knowledge.

Royal Society of Canada
Trinity Western's research is nationally recognized. TWU's award-winning professor and dean of the School of Nursing, Sheryl Reimer-Kirkham, has been inducted into the College of New Scholars, Artists, and Scientists within the Royal Society of Canada for her innovative research.
Conscientia
The word conscientia is of Latin origin and means knowledge shared with others. TWU shares our research findings through our Conscientias.
Crow's Nest Ecological Research Area (CNERA)
The Crow’s Nest Ecological Research Area is a 72.7 acre site on Salt Spring Island that holds much ecological significance. Every year, TWU students conduct research monitoring rare species and ensuring habitat restoration.
